How to Remove the Safety Switch From a Cub Cadet Seat
- Remove the negative battery cable from your Cub Cadet with a wrench. Pull the spark plug wire off.
- Lift the seat.
- Unscrew the screws attached to the bottom of the seat.
- Use the screwdriver to remove the small screw on the switch itself.
- Pull the two halves of the switch apart and remove the wires there.
How do you bypass the reverse switch on a Cub Cadet?
Push down on the side tabs on the black plug. Pull the black plug back and out from the white plastic wiring harness. This action disconnects the reverse caution switch. Once it is disconnected, the mower’s battery cables can be reconnected with the wrench.
